Dan Sun je jedan zaista poseban umjetnik čiji je rad itekako potresan. Naime, Dan prati rad svih hitnih službi i o tome objavljuje nevjerojatne slike na svojim društvenim mrežama koje prate na tisuće ljudi.
Razlog je u tome što Dan na posebno potresan način uspije dočarati svakodnevicu ovih ljudi, koliko je njihov posao stvarno težak i što sve proživljavaju.
Prije nekoliko dana Dan je odlučio objaviti seriju od 11 fotografija koje prikazuju smrt jednee osobe, što prati tim hitne medicinske pomoći. Jednom dnevno objavljuje po jednu fotografiju a preostala je još samo jedna koja će sutra zaokružiti cijeli priču.

When I was growing up we never had mass shootings. What happened to make them 'a thing' in our world? Now we have active shooter training and specific protocols to enter mass shooting events. I don't understand what possesses a person to commit such a heinous act. The images I'm sharing this week are motivated by these tragic events. Of course we think of the victims, their families and the first responders who have to respond to these nightmare scenes but these images focus on the emergency department staff of the hospitals that receive these patients. During these events many of the victims are brought directly to the hospital by private vehicle. Sometimes these emergency rooms are not trauma centres, they're just the closest hospital according to the drivers mapping system. Each day I will be sharing a new image following the treatment and eventual outcome of this patient. These are for all the staff working in the emergency department whom I also consider our first responders. All the people seen in these images are actual ER doctors and nurses. ER #5/11 On TV these scenes look so chaotic with doctors and nurses getting so emotionally involved. The reality is that cardiac arrests like this are usually very controlled and organized...with a properly trained and experienced team. Everyone has a job to do and I know this specific team in this image do it very well. The emotion and impact comes after, when the work is done. Have a safe weekend everyone. ER 6/11 A few years ago I read the book Spook by Mary Roach. In this book the author interviews historical soul-searchers: scientists, schemers, engineers, mediums, all trying to prove (or disprove) that life goes on after we die. It’s an interesting read and really makes you think twice about what happens after we ‘shuffle off this mortal coil.’ I’m curious to hear from my emergency services family, based on your experiences what do you think? ER#10/11 The Doctor Most would think if our patients die despite our best efforts there's nothing left for us to do. This isn't the case for us on the ambulance nor for the team in the hospital. The very worst part of the call is yet to come and it's this part that haunts me. The final image in this series will show the final task of calls like this, the doctor in this image is thinking and preparing for what she needs to do next.
